What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?
The ONE THING that I think gives a woman the "WOW" factor, is her ability to connect with others. Everybody on this planet has different triggers that when stimulated make them feel a connection with another human. Having that ability to figure out those triggers is a skill not many people possess, and if you can pinpoint how exactly to make that connection and make someone feel special, you will WOW them.
What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
Ivanka Trump – Regardless of where you come from, life should never be handed to you on a silver platter. Word Hard, (blood, sweat, and tears baby!), and the rewards will pay off handsomely.
Oprah – Life is a lesson and we need to open our eyes, look around us, and take it all in.
Brittany Spears – When you fall down, pick yourself up, brush the dirt off, and keep moving forward.
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
My mother is one of the kindest women I know and she would do anything for anybody. My mother has taught me generosity and to give whether those around us need a helping hand or if it's just to put a smile on someones face. I have seen her go above an beyond to lend a helping hand, and I try to honor her teachings and spread generosity when I can.
If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?
I am an implementor. I get a lot done and I get it done fast. A lot of business owners (both men and women) are lazy. They like to procrastinate and push work off for when they feel like doing it. Work doesn't do itself. Procrastination is self-sabatogaging, and if more women moved on and transitioned into becoming implementors, I believe our power level as women would immediately rise. With action comes reaction. Create a great plan and act on it.
What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?
"Work Hard, Try to Be a Good Person, and Contribute to the World" I found that when I started living by that mantra, everything began lining up for me in both my personal and professional life and I started seeing the success that I had desired.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
This I wrote for a quote on my Facebook page: "By the time I'd ever heard the words 'you can't' I was old enough to know better." My parents somehow neglected to instill in me that I would ever be limited by a lack of talent, skill or imagination or by someone else's plans for my life. Instead, they fostered my creative and critical thinking and supported my endless parade of new endeavors. God bless 'em!

Confidence – nothing is more beautiful to me than a confident and KIND woman!
What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from - and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
- Greta Waitz - Marathon runner who recently died– she should have coined the phrase, “just do it”. She loved to tell the story of her first race in NYC. In order to get any attendance, and media attention, they have playboy bunnies at the start line running the first leg of a race…. Puts a whole new spin on the running term, ‘rabbit’.
- Hillary Clinton – Talk about a woman that has found her own stride and is finally making the difference in the world she’s fought so hard to accomplish since her first attempt at reforming health care.
- Mother Teresa. Enough said.
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
That she was always in my corner… and WAY ahead of me in terms of what I was capable of doing. Her belief in me has made me the successful person that I am today. “You can’t do that” and “I can’t” are not part of her vocabulary. I met Greta Waitz because my mother dragged me to a running clinic in NYC. I ran my first marathon because my mother looked at me at that same clinic and said, “Let’s run the NYC Marathon. This was in April of 1995. In October of the same year, we both ran – nonstop – the NYC Marathon.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from - and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
Not sure the women I consider celebrities are so mainstream but I love women who are thought-leaders and have something spiritual to share.
* Louise Hay- who founded the Hay House publishing and related companies taught us how to heal and love ourselves in powerful new ways and provided access to incredible teachers and healers via her publishing and radio companies.
* Dr. Christiane Northrup is a holistic medical doctor who shows women how to break free of the patriarchal medical system and be good advocates and practitioners of our own health- mind, body and spirit.
* Rachel Ashwell- Creator of Shabby Chic shows us that beauty can be simple, livable, and accessible.
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom – or WISHED she had modeled for you?
My mother was a self-employed entrepreneur when I was growing up. I always had that as a role model and knew that I could create the same working wife/mother role for myself. She showed me how to be powerful in the world and gave me the gift of creativity and an appreciation of beauty.
If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?
I consult my intuitive wisdom and my "gut" sense in every decision I make and have learned to cultivate this into my best source of guidance- I trust myself over virtually any "expert" or source outside of myself. Trust how it FEELS…whatever it is, you know more than you give yourself credit for!

The Original Woman Who WOWS: My Mom

women. who. wow.
There's no more fitting way to kick off this HIGHLIGHTING of women who wow than profiling MY mom. She is wise, determined, caring, genuine (always), tough (when she has to be), and the best woman I know. Let's learn from HER… my ORIGINAL example of a woman who WOWS:
What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?
Confidence in herself as a person and a woman. You can't fake confidence, and you can't underestimate its impact in your life.
What female celebrities do you think we could learn from - and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?
My mom says she's not that "IN" to celebrities… but I know she loves the celebrity smut mags as much as I do!! =) Here's her answer:
JENNIFER ANISTON - Dont publicly retaliate – the world will be kinder to you. Show Grace and Class in even the worst situations! OPRAH – Always be yourself – listen and then you will be heard! MY DAUGHTER – (My # 1 fan will always believe I'm a celebrity! lol…. ) Tenacity is a gift..think BIG and keep moving forward! My Mom also taught me to always ask "WHY?" and challenge assumptions, so I'm not surprised she broke the rules and included a man we can learn from! PRINCE WILLIAM – Learn from mistakes of those around you…live your life as you see fit..whether in the spot light or not!
What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?
To enjoy life…dance when you can and even sometimes when you can't! (I was named after my Mom's Mom, and have heard a lot about her even though she died before I was born. I hear she was a rockin' woman… if nothing else, always FUN!)
If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?
Enthusiasm to live life to the fullest! (LOVE thIS! Don't try to sit on the couch and do nothing around my Mom. You can do that when you're dead. There's always a bike ride, walk, or some fun game to be played!)
What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?
Believe in your business and others will too. (Short, sweet, simple. But dead -on. That's my Momma!)
