Planet Wow Now Enrolling Women Who Wow - Part 2

Woman Who Wows: Naoma Doriguzzi

Naoma Doriguzzi: Mother, social media expert, video whiz, secret weapon for many politicians, graceful divorcee, and — of course — a woman who WOWS!

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

Being a mom! I never knew how much being a mom can change my life! And now I know and really admire all mothers, because it really is the hardest but most rewarding thing I have accomplished. It gives you a whole new perspective on life and what really matters most.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

Hard work! My mom raised 7 children all while having an in home daycare..She still managed to wake up every morning and exercise before everyone else woke up, take care of us and run a business.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

I have a weakness for volunteering and helping non profits. I love helping people and even if i don't have much to give I can always give my time and support to help a great cause or effort. I often even bring my children with me to fundraisers and events and am surprised at how much it has already carried over to them and their willingness to serve others and keep giving.

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

Don't worry about what anyone else is doing. I worry about what is best for my family and what i am doing. I know there are competitors and people that want to try and discourage me, but all I really care about is how will this effect my family. I go at my own pace and if I have to turn down opportunities or sacrifice jobs to spend more time with my family that is ok with me. I want to always be known for being a good mother. That to me is the greatest success!

Woman Who Wows: Rebekah Pierce

If she's not standing up for domestic violence victims or writing thought- and action- inspiring plays, she's publishing magazines, speaking to large groups, or writing love letters for tongue-tied romeos. Seriously, this military veteran is nothing short of a Woman who (truly) WOWS! Keep it up Rebekah!

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

The one thing that gives a woman the WOW factor is the ability to empathize. If she is able to do that, then that leads to compassion, which then leads to action. Women are about helping and being of service to others, but that comes from her deep sense of empathy and compassion.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Three female celebrities we can learn from are Oprah for her search for ultimate sense of purpose, Goldie Hawn for her contagious sense of humor and love and Queen Latifah for having the courage to step outside of the box and not letting others define her or her sense of worth.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

The most important lesson I learned from my mother is to never give up on your dreams. She has been the constant supportive voice in my life that has encouraged me to "go for it" even when I felt I could not do it. She has always told me that you will never know what you can do if you do not try.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

If women could instantly emulate one trait, habit or skill set that I possess it would have to be tenacity. I keep pushing forward no matter if I have the resources to do the thing or not; my will is stronger than my doubt. I strongly believe that if it is meant to be, there is always a way to get it done, whatever that may be. We are only limited by our fear.

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

One success tip or strategy I leave you with is to build what I call the Crying Angel Network. This is a core group of people who although they may not understand or can see your vision, because they believe in not just you but in a higher power which governs the universe, they are going to support you and lift you up in prayer. They are not here to tell your business or to sabotage your dreams; instead, they are the system that keeps you grounded in your vision and uplifted in your purpose.

Woman who wows: Maggie Ruch

How do I introduce Maggie Ruch? I could let you know that she built my websites — from scratch… or that everyone I've ever referred her to (without exception) has thanked me for the connection… But, I'd rather tell you about how she changed my LIFE (& business) with her Precision Delegation exercise. She showed me where I should delegate more in my business, gave me a plan for TODAY as well as for the future regarding how delegation would CHANGE as my own practice grew. As a result, I became more confident in giving up control, gained more time freedom AND profitability in my business. I'm forever grateful and super excited to introduce you to Maggie Ruch — a woman who (truly) WOWs.

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

Being down to earth and relatable- honest. I that people who try to always maintain a super-professional image can come off appearing phony or superficial. It’s best to show us that you are human too. It makes the victories sweeter and the obstacles and challenges you face all the more REAL. I learn better by relating to people and I would much rather have a wow woman who I can learn from. And when I hear about mistakes made and challenges overcome, suddenly I feel like “here is a REAL super woman.” It’s refreshing to know that we’re all just human.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

I am totally not into celebrities so this was a hard one. 1- She-ra. She is courageous, fair, and smart; she loves her friends and would do anything for them; and she is resourceful. 2- Anne Frank. I read The Diary of Anne Frank when I was a little girl and it really made an impact on how I view the world and others. She taught me to never give up on people, that deep down “people are really good at heart.” 3- Janis Joplin. So much passion in her voice! She teaches us to LIVE and LOVE because life can be so short. Ok so, she died young but she really LIVED!

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom – or WISHED she had modeled for you?

Never give up. Always have a backup plan. If plan A doesn’t work, try plan B. If B doesn’t work then try C, but never give up. My mother reinvented herself many times while I was growing up. It was important for her to stay home with us when we were young children, but it became necessary for her to work to contribute to the household. She took the skills she had and developed three businesses from them. That resourcefulness was the best thing she taught me.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

If you don’t know, then find out (is there a word for that?). Google is my best friend. The ability to research to find an answer then test it out comes in handy in my business every day. Try, create, think for yourself. Technology is changing by the MINUTE. Applications and programs that worked yesterday may not work anymore today. Finding another solution that does work or that works better is a MUST. It’s challenging but it makes for great fun!

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

Know when to delegate. Many women in business feel obligated to try to do everything on their own. Playing the role of marketing manager, CEO, admin, and janitor every day gets overwhelming fast! It can be difficult to decide what to hold on to and what to let go of. But a great support system, including someone to whom you can delegate, alleviates some of the stress of juggling everything. When you practice letting go and delegating, you free yourself up to move on to the next level of success. I do this myself, I have three subs that I send work to and they are gifts to me from God! Wishing you Success!

Camille is an amazing woman, role model, and business owner. A woman who WOWS, no doubt… and a woman that you just know "gets it." Take some time to get to know her, and let her WOW you.

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

I think what gives a woman the WOW factor is her ability to laugh in the face of adversity, and not let anything stand between her and her vision.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Marion Anderson: If we stop dreaming, we may as well STOP altogether.

Beyonce: Sassy and classy, together, is an achievable state.

Oprah: "We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are."

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

That nothing beats a fail but a try.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

My ability to make decisions based on love and determination instead of fear and emotion.

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

The only way to avoid criticism is to do nothing. Dare yourself to succeed. Set your goals and take ACTION steps each day to reach them.

Woman Who Wows: Deborah Shane

Deborah Shane is an over-the-top dynamic woman — in a petite package! She's full of spunk, wisdom, passion and generosity… and my life is better being able to call her friend. I am HONORED to introduce you to Deborah, who is — as a radio host, published author, consultant and friend — no doubt, a Woman Who WOWS!

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

“humble, yet bold self confidence”-it’s about speaking out and speaking up in a comfortable and confident way that shows your soul, essence and authenticity to serve and connect others. Being clear about and self assured that our assets, qualities, wisdom and skills mean very little unless we use them to help others in a bigger way than just serving us with money and prestige.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from  – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Oprah Winfrey’s relentless focus and mission to inspire equality, create opportunity and allow authenticity for women of all ages, races, creeds, colors.

Hilary Clinton for demonstrating that intelligence and leadership in business and public service has no gender.

Angelina Jolie is the modern icon for women who want to and can ‘have it all’- family life, fulfilling work and a passionate philanthropic platform.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

My mother passed in 2002 at the age of 79. She was an only child and did not finish college. She was outgoing, slightly eccentric and believed that her biggest and most important job was being a Mom. My two brothers and I benefitted from that, as we all agree, she was the ‘best mom’ a kid could have hoped for. One of many important lessons I learned from her was “you only come this way once, so do it now, try it now” She always encouraged us to be curious and adventuresome. I really appreciate that so much now, as I have been led to and experienced amazing things in my life because I was curious and tried things with a sense of adventure.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

Always be learning and always be using what you have to help others. It manifests itself and comes back to you in subtle and big ways.

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

Move your career in the direction you want it to go. Set your intentions for what you want to happen, then prepare yourself for things to happen. Be ready.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from  – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Sara Jessica Parker : She stands out from everyone else, established herself as a fashionista and lives her brand.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

Woman Who Wows: Tammi Spruill

"Bring Your Vision to Fruition and Live a Fruitful Life"

I've known Tammi for almost as long as I've known my husband — since her husband and mine are close friends. I admire her integrity, creativity, and passion.  As a Right Brain Business plan workshop leader, graphic designer, coach and friend,  she's certainly a Woman Who WOWS!

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

Her confidence at being her authentic self. Women seem to have a harder time at this than men – perhaps because we have so many roles and it's in our nature to nurture. Women (or maybe it's just me) tend to want people to be "comfortable" and in order to do that, many times a woman will conform herself to what she thinks others expect. Pretty soon, we end up all looking and sounding the same. So a woman who really stands out is one who isn't afraid to be herself – regardless of what others "expect" her to be.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from  – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Oprah Winfrey – Giving generously – of your time, talents and other resources – leads to an abundant life.

Angelina Jolie – It's beautiful to be strong and courageous in the face of adversity.

Lady Gaga – Being an individual and carving your own path can lead to great influence.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

It's important to speak your mind, but it's even more important to ACT on what you know is important.

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

My ability to appear calm and peaceful in very unnerving situations. People say I am "calming."

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

This is a lesson that is near and dear to my heart because I'm still learning it – allow yourself the opportunity to evolve as a business owner. Don't get so stuck on one idea or way of thinking that you stagnate. Take quicker action than is comfortable. I can't tell you how many opportunities I've missed over the past 9 years as a business owner because I wasn't "ready" to act.

What ONE THING do you think gives a woman the "WOW" factor?

Confidence. Most of the time you have to fake it in the beginning, but eventually your brain will catch up.

What three female celebrities do you think we could learn from  – and what ONE sentence lesson do they teach us?

Marianne Williamson – Learning to take responsibility for the nature of our thoughts is the most powerful way to take responsibility for our lives. (That’s a direct quote by the by. I don’t mess with perfection.)

Hilary Clinton – Do what you believe in and damn the critics.

Beyonce – You can be beautiful and classy at the same time.

What is the most important lesson you learned from YOUR Mom?

My mom has lived a tough life made tougher by the fact that she allowed others to determine the value she placed on herself. I’ve learned true value is an inside-out job so I never seek it externally. (Confession: I was in my 30’s when I learned this – wish I’d known much sooner.)

If women could instantly emulate ONE trait, habit or skill set that YOU possess, which trait, habit or skill set should it be?

I fall down a lot but I never give up.

What ONE success tip or strategy can you leave us with?

I learned this from author Gretchen Rubin – who learned it from Ben Franklin. Create a table with the days of the month on the far left column and 5-7 goals running horizontally across the top. These should be very specific items you seek to accomplish each day, so it could be run 2 miles, complete top five to-dos, 15 minutes of inspirational reading, limited social media use, meditation, etc. Then, review your list each night place a check mark on the items you’ve completed and an “x” on the ones you haven’t. I started doing this a few months ago and my productivity / general well-being has risen dramatically.
